The Nikon WT-7 Wireless Transmitter is a professional-grade connectivity accessory designed to give compatible Nikon cameras both wired and wireless network capabilities. It features a built-in Wireless LAN adapter supporting the IEEE 802.11ac standard, as well as a dedicated Ethernet port for wired connectivity, enabling high-speed data transfer to computers, FTP servers, HTTP servers, and smart devices. With a wireless range of up to 656 feet (line of sight) and wireless data transfer speeds of up to 130 Mbps alongside Ethernet speeds of 10/100/1000 Mbps it is engineered for demanding professional workflows.

The WT-7 supports five operating modes: Image Transfer, FTP Upload, HTTP Server, Access Point, and Camera Control mode. Image Transfer mode allows photos and videos to be sent directly to a computer as they are captured, while FTP Upload mode enables seamless delivery to an FTP server. HTTP Server mode lets users remotely operate the camera and download images via a web browser on a computer or mobile device, and Access Point mode turns the camera into a direct wireless connection point for a smart device or computer. Camera Control mode, used in conjunction with the optional Camera Control Pro 2 software, gives users full remote control over camera settings and operation.
