Amaran Light Dome 60 Softbox (Bowens Mount)

Amaran Light Dome 60 Softbox: Round 60 cm softbox with rod-pull setup

The Amaran Light Dome 60 Softbox (Bowens Mount) is a 60 cm 16-sided parabolic softbox with a Bowens Mount speed ring, quick-release rods, two layers of diffusion and a fabric grid. Available from Amaran at Camerahaus.

Who Is This Made For?

The Light Dome 60 is for creators who want round catchlights and soft light from a COB up to 600W.

Round catchlights from a small box

Sixteen sides make a near-circular front, so eye reflections in close-up portraits and interviews look round rather than square.

Rod-pull setup

Pull the 16 rods to lock the parabolic frame, then press the two latches on the base to collapse it. No separate speed ring assembly.

Two layers of diffusion

An inner baffle spreads the hot spot and the 1.5-stop front cloth smooths the output; use the baffle alone for a punchier look.

Grid included

The fabric grid narrows the spread to keep light off backgrounds and walls.

For COBs up to 600 W

Bowens speed ring fits the amaran 150c/300c, COB 60/100/200 series, Ray and Halo lights and other Bowens fixtures up to 600 W.
