The Canon EOS Kiss is a landmark lightweight 35mm autofocus SLR camera introduced in 1993 (marketed as the EOS Rebel XS in North America and EOS 500 in Europe and other regions). Operating on Canons versatile EF mount, the camera features a 3-point Multi-BASIS autofocus system capable of automatically switching between One-Shot and AI Servo AF based on subject movement. A versatile shutter speed range from 30 seconds to 1/2000 secondalong with Program, Aperture-Priority, Shutter-Priority, Depth-of-Field AE, and Metered Manual modesgives photographers full creative authority over exposure. It also features Canon’s signature prewind film system, which safely pulls the entire film roll onto the take-up spool first and winds exposed frames back into the canister to protect captured photos from accidental back-cover openings.
