Description

The Canon 135mm F3.5 is a vintage manual-focus telephoto lens designed for Canon rangefinder cameras with a Leica Thread Mount (LTM). Its 135mm focal length provides a narrow field of view, making it suitable for distant landscapes, architectural details, and subjects photographed from a distance.

With a maximum aperture of f/3.5 and a minimum aperture of f/22, the lens offers straightforward exposure control through its manual aperture ring. Its four-element, three-group optical design reflects Canon’s classic rangefinder lens engineering, with an emphasis on telephoto photography and detail rendering.

The lens focuses down to approximately 1.5m and uses a 48mm adapter ring with Series VII filter accessories. A dedicated or universal external viewfinder may be useful when composing on compatible rangefinder cameras, as 135mm framing is often not included in standard viewfinder coverage.

Compatible with LTM rangefinder cameras and adaptable to many modern digital systems, the Canon 135mm F3.5 is an appealing vintage telephoto for collectors and photographers who enjoy classic metal lens construction and fully manual shooting. Specifications can vary between early chrome and later black versions, so the exact variant should be confirmed from the lens barrel.
