Description:
The Canon FD 50mm f/1.4 S.S.C. is a fast standard prime lens designed for Canon FD mount film and digital cameras (with appropriate adapters). This lens is part of Canon’s S.S.C. (Super Spectra Coating) series, which enhances image quality by reducing flare and ghosting while increasing contrast and color fidelity. The fast f/1.4 aperture allows for excellent low-light performance, and it also enables creative control over depth of field, producing a beautifully blurred background (bokeh) for portraits and other subject isolation work.

With its classic 50mm focal length, this lens offers a natural perspective that is ideal for general photography, including portraits, street photography, and everyday snapshots. The lens is well-regarded for its sharpness, even when used wide open, and its smooth focus ring ensures precise manual focusing. The FD 50mm f/1.4 is considered one of the best all-around lenses, offering excellent value for photographers who want a reliable and versatile lens for a variety of photographic needs.
