Description

The Canon T50, introduced in 1983, was the first model in Canons T-series and aimed at beginner film photographers transitioning from compact cameras to SLRs. It features full Program Auto Exposure (AE) only, meaning the camera automatically sets shutter speed and aperturemaking it extremely simple to use.

With a motorized film advance and LED metering system, it brought automation to the classic FD lens system, though focus remained manual. The T50’s shutter is electronically controlled, offering automatic speed adjustment, and pairs well with Canons dedicated flash units like the Speedlite 244T for seamless flash photography.

Its a great entry-level 35mm SLR for those wanting reliable performance, Canon FD lens compatibility, and simplified operation in a durable, no-fuss body.
