Description

The Canon EOS 5, also known as the EOS A2E (North America), is a high-end 35mm SLR film camera from the early 1990s, designed for serious enthusiasts and professional photographers. It introduced Eye-Control Focus, a revolutionary autofocus system that allows users to select AF points simply by looking at them through the viewfindermaking it one of the most advanced cameras of its time.

With 5 autofocus points, multiple metering modes, and fully automatic or manual controls, the EOS 5 offers exceptional flexibility for various shooting styles. The fast shutter speed of 1/8000 sec and a continuous shooting mode of up to 5 frames per second make it a powerful tool for sports, action, and portrait photography.

The built-in flash, with a guide number of 12m, is useful for fill-in lighting, while the optional BP-50 battery grip allows for extended shooting time using AA batteries. The Canon EF mount ensures compatibility with a wide range of high-quality Canon lenses, making this camera a great choice for film photographers looking for speed, precision, and reliability in a classic SLR body.
