Kenko Smart CPL Slim Filter

Kenko Smart CPL Slim: circular polarising filter

The Kenko Smart CPL Slim is a circular polarising filter from Kenko. Slim designed new frame PL filter. Using this filter, reflections and glare can be reduced significantly from non-metallic surfaces. Also it will help to greatly reduce the softness caused by atmospheric haze. Available from Kenko at Camerahaus.

Who Is This Made For?

The Smart CPL Slim is for landscape and travel photographers who want deeper skies and fewer reflections.

How to use PL-filters

PL filters achieve their greatest effect of eliminating glare when used at a 30-40 degree angle to a reflective surface (like glass or water). At midday when the sun is directly overhead, or at a 90 degree angle, the filter will have the least effect. These effects are easily visible by rotating the filter and looking through the viewfinder of the camera.

1.6 stops of light loss

Expect about 1.6 stops less light through the filter; the camera’s meter compensates automatically.
