Description:

The Yashica Electro 35 GT is a classic 35mm rangefinder camera that was highly regarded for its build quality and lens performance. It features a Yashinon 45mm f/1.7 lens, which provides sharp, high-quality images with a wide aperture perfect for low-light conditions and shallow depth of field. The camera is designed for manual focusing using the built-in rangefinder, which ensures precise focus and control over your shots.

The automatic exposure system in the Yashica Electro 35 GT is powered by a CdS light meter, which adjusts the aperture and shutter speed according to the lighting conditions. It offers a shutter speed range from 1/500s to 30s, allowing for a wide range of creative control depending on your shooting environment.

The body of the camera is known for its sturdy construction, and while it may not be as compact as some other rangefinders, it offers excellent handling and a solid feel. The Yashica Electro 35 GT was one of the first cameras to use an electronic exposure system, which makes it one of the more advanced models of its time, though it requires a modern equivalent to the original mercury battery due to mercury battery regulations.

The camera is fully automatic, so once youve set the focus, you can rely on the camera to adjust exposure, making it simple to use, while still offering creative control.
