Designed as a more affordable alternative to the Leica M series, it retains many of the same design principles and uses Leica M-mount lenses, making it compatible with a wide range of high-quality optics. The CL is lightweight and portable, featuring a simple and intuitive manual focus system, a built-in light meter, and reliable mechanical shutter operation. Its combination of precision engineering, excellent lens compatibility, and compact design makes it a favorite among rangefinder enthusiasts and street photographers who appreciate classic film photography with Leica heritage.
