Description

The Olympus PEN Lite E-PL6 is a compact Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera introduced in 2013. It uses a 16.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor and TruePic VI image processor, combining the image quality of Olympus’ higher-end PEN and OM-D systems with a small, lightweight body. The camera also features sensor-shift image stabilization and a 170-tilting touchscreen monitor.

The E-PL6 provides a broad range of photographic controls, including manual exposure, interchangeable-lens operation, high-speed continuous shooting, and ISO settings extending to 25600. Its FAST AF system works with the touchscreen to provide Touch AF Shutter operation, allowing the user to select a subject directly on the LCD.

The included M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ is an ultra-slim electronic pancake zoom designed specifically for compact Micro Four Thirds cameras. It provides a 2884mm equivalent range, uses MSC focusing for fast and quiet autofocus, and features electronic zoom and automatic lens retraction.

The lens uses an 8-element, 7-group optical design with three aspherical elements, one ED element, and one Super HR element. With a minimum focusing distance of 0.2m, 0.23 maximum magnification, and a weight of only 93g, it makes the E-PL6 particularly well suited to compact everyday, travel, and street photography.
