The Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 DC DN Contemporary is a high-quality zoom lens for APS-C format mirrorless cameras, offering a 27-75mm equivalent zoom range that makes it well suited to everything from landscapes and wide-scoping views through to portraits and tighter compositions. Optical performance is strong throughout the zoom range, with special low dispersion and 3 aspherical lens elements contributing to notable sharpness at all focal lengths. The lens also features a dust and splash-proof structure, making it a rugged and reliable choice for everyday use.

A constant f2.8 maximum aperture across the full zoom range lets in plenty of light for low-light shooting and gives strong depth of field control for eye-catching background blur. The lightweight build is made possible through the use of thermally stable composite materials, keeping the lens compact and travel-friendly. A fast, near-silent stepping motor AF system makes this lens equally well suited to both photography and videography. With a closest focusing distance of just 12.1cm and a 1:2.8 maximum magnification ratio, it can handle close-up subjects and is a great option for POV-style vlogging as well.
