Tokina AT-X 116 11-16mm F2.8 PRO DX II Lens for Sony A: The F2.8 ultra-wide for Sony A-mount APS-C

The Tokina AT-X 116 11-16mm F2.8 PRO DX II Lens for Sony A is an APS-C 11-16mm F2.8 ultra-wide zoom with a constant aperture and the One-touch Focus Clutch, in the DX II version for Sony A mount. Available from Tokina at Camerahaus.

Who Is This Made For?

The AT-X 116 PRO DX II is for landscape and interior shooters on Sony A-mount APS-C DSLRs.

Legendary ultra-wide for APS-C

Tokina’s longest-selling design: an 11-16mm with a constant f/2.8, equal to about 16.5-24mm on full frame.

DX II refinements

The second generation added an internal AF motor for Nikon and a revised coating for slightly better contrast.

SD and aspherical glass

Two super-low dispersion elements and two asphericals hold chromatic aberration and distortion in check.

One-touch Focus Clutch

Pull the focus ring back for manual focus, push forward for AF, without touching a switch.

Internal focus

The front element does not rotate, so polarisers and the petal hood stay aligned.

Pro build

Metal mount, 77mm filter thread and a locking BH-77A hood.
