Description

The Canon EOS Kiss X7 is a remarkably compact APS-C DSLR introduced in 2013. Also known as the EOS Rebel SL1 and EOS 100D in other markets, it combines an 18-megapixel CMOS sensor with the DIGIC 5 processor in a body that weighs approximately 370 g without the battery and memory card. Canon designed the X7 specifically to provide DSLR image quality and handling in a much smaller body.

The camera provides a traditional optical shooting experience through its pentamirror viewfinder, with 9-point phase-detection autofocus and continuous shooting at approximately 4 frames per second. Its 3-inch touchscreen LCD also supports Live View operation, where Hybrid CMOS AF II provides phase-detection and contrast-detection focusing.

The included Canon EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS is a practical telephoto zoom covering an 88400mm equivalent range on the X7. Its optical Image Stabilizer provides approximately four stops of correction, while the built-in UD element helps control chromatic aberration and maintain image quality throughout the zoom range.
