Description

The RICOH WG-30 is a rugged compact digital camera designed for outdoor photography and situations where a conventional compact camera may not be practical. It combines a 16-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor with a built-in 5x optical zoom, giving photographers a useful 28140mm equivalent range in a compact, sealed body.

The built-in RICOH lens covers everything from wide-angle landscapes and travel scenes to short telephoto subjects. It also features a dedicated 1cm Macro mode, allowing extremely close subjects to be photographed, while the Digital Microscope mode combines close focusing with zoom for detailed small-subject photography.

A major strength of the WG-30 is its rugged construction. The camera is waterproof to 12 meters, shockproof from drops of up to 1.5 meters, freezeproof down to -10C, and designed to withstand loads of up to 100 kgf.
