The Viltrox AF 28mm f/1.8 is a full-frame wide-angle prime lens designed for Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras. Its fast f/1.8 maximum aperture delivers excellent low-light performance and a pleasing shallow depth of field with smooth, natural bokeh, while the 28mm focal length offers a versatile 74.6 angle of view well suited to street photography, landscapes, architecture, astrophotography, and environmental portraits.

Optically, the lens features 11 elements arranged in 9 groups, incorporating 2 aspherical elements and 3 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) elements to minimise chromatic aberration and distortion for sharp, high-contrast images across the frame. A stepping motor (STM) drive powers quick and near-silent autofocus with full support for eye-detection AF, while a minimum focus distance of just 37cm (14.6″) enables compelling close-up wide-angle shots. The lens also supports firmware updates via its USB-C port, ensuring long-term compatibility with Nikon Z-series bodies.
