The Nikon NIKKOR Z 26mm f/2.8 is an ultra-compact, full-frame wide-angle prime lens designed exclusively for the Nikon Z mirrorless camera system. Often described as a true “pancake” lens, it is the smallest and lightest autofocus lens in the NIKKOR Z lineup, measuring just 23.5mm in length and weighing approximately 125g. Its 26mm focal length delivers a broad 79 angle of view on full-frame bodies, and on APS-C/DX-format cameras it provides a 39mm equivalent perspective making it a highly versatile choice for street photography, landscapes, architecture, travel, and everyday shooting.

Optically, the lens features 8 elements in 6 groups, with three aspherical elements to control aberrations, reduce distortion, and maintain corner-to-corner sharpness. A maximum aperture of f/2.8 enables confident shooting in low-light conditions, while a close minimum focusing distance of 0.2m opens up creative close-up possibilities. Autofocus is driven by a stepping motor (STM) for fast and smooth operation, suitable for both stills and video. A programmable control ring allows quick adjustment of focus, aperture, ISO, or exposure compensation, and the body incorporates dust- and drip-resistant construction for added durability in varied shooting environments.
