Its all-metal construction and smooth manual-focus operation reflect the craftsmanship of Nikon’s classic manual-focus era. The optical design delivers crisp detail, natural contrast, and a balanced rendering that pairs beautifully with both Nikon film SLRs and modern digital cameras via adaptation. Lightweight and easy to carry, the Nikkor 28mm F3.5 Ai remains an excellent choice for photographers seeking a traditional manual-focus wide-angle lens with proven reliability and timeless handling characteristics.
