The Sigma 23mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary is a fast wide-angle prime lens designed exclusively for APS-C-format mirrorless cameras with a Sony E mount. Its 23mm focal length delivers a field of view equivalent to 35mm on a full-frame camera, making it an exceptionally versatile choice for street photography, travel, portraiture, and landscapes. The bright f/1.4 maximum aperture excels in low-light conditions and grants fine control over depth of field, producing rich, beautiful bokeh thanks to a 9-blade rounded diaphragm.

Optically, the lens features 13 elements in 10 groups including 3 SLD glass elements and 2 aspherical elements delivering sharp, high-resolution images from maximum aperture with minimal flare and ghosting even in backlit scenarios. An inner focus system driven by a stepping motor ensures fast, smooth, and near-silent autofocus performance for both stills and video, with support for AF assist and lens aberration correction on compatible cameras. A dust- and splash-resistant construction with a high-precision brass bayonet mount rounds out this compact, palm-sized lens that weighs just 330g.
